STILL OPEN: New Updated and Latest COVID 19 Rules for Go Padel (20-12-2020)

2020 – the year that keeps on giving!

Well, we are all up that famous creek – but at least we still have Padel!

Yes – we are still open and welcome you to play safely following these rules.

New Updated and Latest COVID 19 Rules for Go Padel

Tier 4 Rules

Due to the PMs announcement this evening Maldon finds itself in Tier 4, thankfully in such horrendous times the club can still open but under new strict guidelines.

For those outside of Tier 4 its strongly advised not to travel into a Tier 4 area.

The following rules will now be in place:

– Singles Padel is permitted against a member of a different household.

– Family household games are permitted along with games with members of your support bubble.

– Organised under 18s group training can continue.

– 1-1 Training can continue with the coaches.

– The Cafe will be serving hot and cold drinks as a take-away service, other than staff nobody will be permitted to come to the cafe. A station by the gate entering the cafe will be set up to take payment for shop or cafe items.

– No socialising before or after games, please try to pre-order drinks and snacks.

– We won’t be lending any equipment out, you must have your own equipment to play. You can purchase balls from the Cafe, please pre-order. Contact Ewan for racket purchase 07704 048874

– All events, group coaching, matchplays and mix-ins will be cancelled.

– All court bookings will be 1 hour long (longer at request), please leave straight after the match.

– No toilet or changing facilities will be open, please bear this in mind when you book in for a game!

More restrictions may follow as we get further guidance from the LTA, the team will be on hand to show you how to play a good 1-1 singles game!

We understand completely how the virus has affected so many people and we respect everyones decision if they do or don’t want to play. We won’t be closing as per the guidance and will try with the rules above to give you all a safe outlet at these difficult times.

This has all happened extremely quickly so more rules could be on the way but the above aligns with the government guidelines.

Any questions don’t hesitate to ask.
